SCOUT Cosmetics is an exciting mineral makeup, skincare and hair care range.

In developing the range over many years with her husband Guy, Sylvie Hutchings has fulfilled a passion to offer a high quality collection of luxurious, natural, safe cosmetics, skin and hair care products. 

SCOUT Cosmetics has three product ranges:

• Botanical Hair Care
• Anti-oxidant Skincare

The full product range is available online and directly through Consultant Distributors and selected stockists.

At SCOUT we strive for everything we do to be the best, and of the highest quality.

The SCOUT philosophy of 'modern, elegant, natural beauty' is very simple.

Blog - The objective of the SCOUT Blog is a to share the answers to client questions about cosmetics, skincare practices and our beautiful SCOUT Cosmetics,  anti-oxidant skin care and botanical hair care ranges.

It is our experience that woman are clearly very discerning about the products they choose.

They appreciate learning more and discussing the facts about products before making decisions.

This is evident at our 'Makeover Clinics'.

Another key aspect of our philosophy is that we provide an avenue for women to have their own businesses whilst still being available for their families.  Often women who attend our 'Makeover Clinics' are so impressed by the SCOUT products they become successful SCOUT Consultants.

Our philosophy and approach is based on three ideas summed up by our mission statement: ‘modern - elegant - natural beauty'.

• Firstly, our philosophy is to respect women’s personal choices, needs and preferences.

Cosmetics undoubtedly enhance quality of life for many women. Make-up may not only be aesthetically pleasing but play a part in psychological health by contributing to confidence and self esteem. Sometimes we need a little self empowerment to just ‘put our best foot forward'.

• Our second idea was to offer women make-up and skin and hair care that will enhance their natural beauty, be safe to use and not compromise on colour or performance.

We took seriously our signing on to the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics which pledges that we will not use ingredients in our products which are known or reasonably suspected of being linked to a long list of health concerns.

SCOUT Cosmetics mineral make-up was created to provide a truly exciting alternative to the everyday ‘big company' brands without the potentially harmful ‘conventional chemicals'.

The result is a naturally oriented, modern make-up range that lets ‘a woman's true beauty shine through'.

Key SCOUT People

Sylvie is a busy mother of three and lives in Melbourne. A former flight attendant, her insights into beauty care were key to unlocking the inspiration to combine her natural therapies training and love of colour, art and fashion. Make-up played an important and fun part in her life which she wore every day for her 16 years travelling the world. 

Sylvie has always preferred common sense ‘naturally oriented' products but could not find a make-up range that was consistent with her intuitions and ideas. There are quality brands available but they lacked the style factor she was looking for. Many products were said to be ‘natural, organic or even chemical free' but still contained ingredients she considered potentially toxic or unhealthy.  Thus began a journey and SCOUT COSMETICS was born.

Guy over-views product development, manufacturing and marketing processes and seeks to maintain rigorous quality standards and consistently high product values. All SCOUT Cosmetics products are formulated by experts. They are made from superb naturally oriented ingredients to exacting Australian and international standards by accredited manufacturers.

Guy is a full member of the Australian Society of Cosmetic Chemists and an accredited member of the Australian Traditional Medical Society. He has considerable experience in international business and has post-graduate qualifications from both Australian and US institutions.
